Horror News: Halloween + More
Rob Zombie has given a little more insight to the upcoming "HALLOWEEN" project he is now attached to.Rob said that the film will be a prequel and a reimaging all in one. So for the most part it's a fancy way to say its a fucking remake.
Now do I think Rob is going to do a good job? Of course I do. This guy knows how to make a good horror film. But what I don't like is fucking with another classic. Does Halloween really need a remake??? Bah... as if the remake of Friday The 13th wasn't bad enough news...
"World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War" has just been announced after a "bidding war" between Brad Pitt's PLAN B company in association with Paramount and Leo Decaprio's Appian Way in association with Warner Brothers. Anyway, Brad Pitt won the bid war, and Paramount owns the rights. The story is based on Max Brooks' (son of comedy legend Mel Brooks) recent novel "The Zombie Survival Guide" which is terribly fiction, but extremely amusing. The movie plot is said to explain a "zombie war" told by surviving soldiers.
I absoutely love zombie flicks, so I'm all for this project. However, I'm really interested to see how much they follow this novel because there isn't any mention of a "zombie war" within its pages. But oh well... should be fun.
